General Online Help
Go here or type ‘/help’ in a chat room edit box for a list of current Battle.net commands.

Play Game
This is the primary play option for Warcraft III Battle.net competition. Joining a game is very simple, you merely select your race and game type and click Start Game. You will be automatically matched with other players near your own skill level into the game type you selected. You will also notice map preferences associated with each game type. If you dislike a particular map, you may give it the "thumbs down" to let Battle.net know you would prefer not to play on that map. You may still get games on that map, but by flagging it in this way, you reduce the likelihood.

Arranged Teams (Not initially active in the Beta!)
This is where you go if you want to play with specific teammates in a game. You may either create or join an existing team. When creating a team, only your friends or clan mates will be able to join into your team. You may also explicitly invite another player (not on your friends or clans list) to join your team for a game. Once your team is formed, the team creator may choose the game type and map preferences and start the game. You will be matched against another team of a similar ranking on Battle.net.

Custom Games
The Custom game functionality is similar to the how multiplayer games worked with StarCraft. Players may create games that will be broadcast to other players on Battle.net so they can join in. Players may also make private games and give the game name to specific players to join in. Records are not kept for Custom Games, so we expect this game type will be used primarily for user made maps, games versus computer opponents or just casual games among friends or clans.

Friends (Not initially active in the Beta!)
This is where players may manage their friends list. You may add any account to your friends list, so when you are online you can easily find your friends. The friends list will display if your friend is online and where they are on Battle.net (in a game, channel, etc). Lastly, if they are in an area where you can join them, you can click on their name in the friends list to move to their location on Battle.net.

For a list of Friends Commands go here.

Ladder (Not initially active in the Beta!)
All rankings on Battle.net are tracked here. Players may view any of the ladders on Battle.net and gain an understanding of how the ladder system works. Unlike Starcraft, there will be several ladders in Warcraft 3. For example, there will be a ladder for each player's individual ranking (Head to Head and FFA games), as well as a team ranking. There will also be an Arranged Team ladder. If you place high enough on the ladder, you will get invited to season tournaments on Battle.net where you can prove your Warcraft III prowess.

Options (Not initially active in the Beta!)
All Battle.net options are managed here. Initially players will have the ability to modify text filters and set a default channel when you initially arrive on Battle.net.

** Tournament
Eventually we will be adding support for automated tournaments on Battle.net. Tournaments will be held at specific times during the week and will conclude the same evening. Players will register for the tournament, and then be matched up against other players. If you win a game you advance to the next round, until a winner is determined. Results will be posted on Battle.net the following day.

** Clans
This is a battle.net feature that our fans have been wanting for a long time and it’s almost here. You will be able to form a clan with other Battle.net players through this button. Once you are in a Clan, you will be able to monitor your clan from this screen in a similar manner to the friends list. Being the member of a clan will give you access to a reserved clan home channel, a clan tag on your account and other benefits to be added later.
